 The second year of the Earth to Sky NASA Explorer Institute is providing an opportunity to enrich the NASA/NPS partnership through the collaborative development and implementation of interpretive products.
The completed products will provide models for how NASA science can augment and support the stories being told at our parks, and will serve as training materials for professional development opportunities for both NASA and NPS. The focus for this phase of product development stems from Earth Systems science and Sun-Earth Connection science. Other topic areas will be explored in the future.
Participants in Year 2 are interpreters from parks with both cultural and natural resources. They are using their highly developed skills to create interpretive programs, displays, and a tutorial for informal interactions with park visitors. |
