NASA exploration and science programs offer substantial benefits to NPS interpreters who in turn, inform and inspire park visitors about our place in the natural world and the universe. Through funding from NASA’s Informal Education Office, Earth to Sky is offering scientists and interpreters, in-depth opportunities for collaborative work. Explore some of these Earth to Sky efforts:

Earth to Sky III: Interpreting Climate Change was held January 26–30, 2009 at the NPS Mather Training Center, Harpers Ferry WV
This workshop featured over 25 NASA scientists and education specialists, who presented information on their research and programs related to Climate Change. Participants included 30 rangers from all regions of the National Park Service (NPS), plus several attendees from U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), and other informal education groups. Each participant developed an action plan to use NASA science content in interpretation and/or educational efforts, and each is committed to also train other education professionals on what they learned.
